About Alice

I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT)and have a VTCT diploma in Holistic massage, qualifications in Indian Head Massage, Chinese Facial Massage and Acupressure Chair Massage. I have also completed extensive advanced training with Jing Advanced massage to treat soft tissue conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fascitis, low back pain, neck pain, frozen shoulder, leg and hip pain, RSI and headaches. I am also trained in pregnancy massage and stone massage. I am constantly updating and adding to my skills through an ongoing training programme.

I am passionate about the benefits of remedial massage and bodywork. Chronic pain conditions and injuries respond very well to massage techniques; restrictions in soft tissue can cause a variety of problems and have to be released before stretching and strengthening programmes are effective. All my treatments are tailored to the individual's needs and are focused on pain relief and increased mobility.

I work from my treatment room in Colchester and from Manningtree Osteopathic Clinic. I carry out workplace massage in local offices and mobile treatments are also available.

Testimonials

I have been having massages with Alice for several years now and she really is the best. I have had neck, shoulder and back problems and Alice knows exactly how to deal with the areas which need attention using the various techniques she has perfected over the years. She has an excellent knowledge of the muscles in the body and provides great aftercare advice with stretches and exercise etc. I would not hesitate to recommend Alice to anyone who is looking for a massage therapist who really knows what they are doing.

I had a deep seated lower back pain which tended to come at go at will, this problem had been with me for at least two years, and always seemed to return at the threat of a game of golf!!! I spent a great deal of money on various chiropractic treatments which made little, if any improvement. After the 4 treatments that you administered it is the best the back has been for well over two years. Just completed an extended holiday in Canada with lots of travelling and lots of golf so the back has been well tested!!! I think the odd return visit to keep any problems at bay will be a good investment and look forward to seeing you in the near future.

I first went to Alice (on a friend’s recommendation) when suffering from plantar fasciitis, an extremely painful condition in my left heel which made it impossible for me to play tennis or even walk properly. This problem had lasted more than a year without improvement, despite countless sessions of NHS physiotherapy including cortisone treatment.

All this was to change dramatically. During the early sessions with Alice the condition improved significantly and, after just a few weeks, the pain disappeared and has not so far returned. The feeling of relief was marvellous! Occasional pain in my lower back area has also been solved by Alice on a regular basis and I have complete faith in her ability to diagnose problem areas and to treat them accordingly.

My wife has also had successful treatment from Alice for neck and back problems and, free from pain, her golf has improved to the extent that she is winning more than her fair share of competitions, to the annoyance of her fellow competitors!

Even when we have no specific problems we visit Alice every fortnight and her massage therapy skills keep us fit and relaxed.
